Survey Services Division

Swire Pacific Offshore established its Survey Services Division following the acquisition of the business and assets of the Salvin group on 1st August 2007. Prior to the acquisition, the Salvin group had interests in marine seismic surveys, ship broking, ship management and marine consulting. The newly-formed Survey Services Division is focused on providing marine survey services for geological exploration.

The regional hub for the Survey Services Division is in Singapore, with access to local warehouse storage facilities for seismic compressors and related equipment. Drawing on the extensive experience and operational network of the Swire Pacific Offshore group, this division operates existing vessels in the fleet that are dedicated to seismic exploration – such as M/V Pacific Titan and S/V Pacific Sword – as well as new build vessels that will go on to seismic survey contracts, such as M/V Pacific Ataawhai.

In addition to providing services for seismic survey and exploration, this division also manages the Swire Pacific Offshore group’s relationships with geological exploration companies, providing a direct interface between the seismic survey vessels and their customers.
