Survey Services Division
Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) established the Survey Services Division (SSD) in August 2007, integrating specialist seismic technical expertise into SPO's industry leading fleet of over 70 vessels and global network of services to the offshore sector. Currently, SSD benefits from both SPO's thirty-five years of offshore marine experience, and its widespread local presence with offices in over 20 countries worldwide.
SSD operates as a one stop solution for marine support. The company has a proven track record in servicing 2 & 3D shallow water acquisition surveys, offering vessels wth the capacity to respond to a broad variety of scenarios on different scales across the seismic field. The division has also customised a number of SPO's P-Class models for specialist seismic support operations and developed a range of advanced designs for purpose built vessels in this field. These resources are complemented by accomplished and trained seismic officers, engineers and compressor mechanics. SSD also enables clients to rent or purchase high standard specialist equipment, including containerised compressors for source packages, containerised HPU packages, streamer and cable winches.
Presently the business unit manages day to day operations of two 3D Seismic Vessels: newbuild M/V Pacific Finder (pictured below) and shallow water seismic vessel M/V Geo Natuna, as well as three P-Class vessels operating as seismic support vessels. In addition, SSD has entered into a Ship Management contract for M/V Swift Rescue with the Singapore Navy.
