The J-Class was built in Japan in the early 1980s and is still well utilised in a wide variety of offshore roles, from Safety and Rescue to Fishery Protection. In excellent working condition despite their age, these vessels are as adept at working in the heavy seas off South Africa, as they are at maintaining tight schedules in the Arabian Gulf.
