Swire Pacific Offshore has owned and operated Accommodation, Work and Crane barges for over 30 years. In the footsteps of Pacific Installer and Pacific Constructor the new “I-Class” will see the company’s re-entry to this sector of the offshore market. Based on a proven Shiptech design and developed in close collaboration with SPO’s technical team the “I-Class” set a new standard for the future. The vessels boast 236 single berth cabins complete with private ensuite facilities. Gymnasium, Cinemas, Lounge and spacious 150 seat mess room cater for the needs of the crew whilst 2 meeting rooms and 5 offices meet the day to day requirements of the Charterers. Drawing on the companies experience in the offshore supply sector the vessels have capacity to carry liquids, mud and dry bulk. A large warehouse provides ample storage for project equipment and consumables. The vessels main crane is rated for offshore service, a maximum SWL of 200 tons and capable of operating to depths of 1,000m. During construction attention will be given to the selection of materials and vessels will be built in keeping with the Groups Environmental policies and delivered with “Green Passport”.
