The A-Class vessels are PSVs, almost all built to the benchmark UT755L design. The UT755L vessels have a large back deck that can be loaded with up to 1600 tonnes of deck cargo. Below deck are over 300 cubic metres of bulk cargo capacity and additional tanks for fuel, water, brine and liquid mud.

These vessels have been designed with a moonpool, ensuring versatility for future roles in ROV support, well-testing or production support activities. In addition, all DP1 vessels are capable of upgrade, with minimal modifications, to DP2 systems.
