Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) has a fully accredited Safety Management System (SMS) which complies with international statutory requirements leading to the issue of a Document of Compliance. The company operates vessels under the Singapore, Malaysia, Cyprus, Barbados, Liberia, Indonesia, Panama, Russia and United Arab Emirates flags and holds the requisite Document of Compliance for each flag state. The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system utilized in the management and operations of the company’s existing fleet of offshore support vessels complies with the requirements of the IMO’s “International Management Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention (the “ISM Code”).
The company has achieved ISO 9001-2008 Quality Certification and ISO 14001-2004 Environment Certification and maintains these standards throughout its operations.
In the last 38 years of operation, the company has provided clients with a range of services which span from straight supply to more complex support duties like deep water anchor handling, helicopter operations, dive support, ROV support, heavy lift operations, safety standby services, cargo operations, passenger transport services, fire fighting services, emergency response and rescue services, well stimulation support, marine salvage, oil spill and emergency response to ship management. More recently SPO has extended its operational experience to include subsea maintenance and repair as well as offshore wind turbine installation and decommissioning.
Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) has a proven track record working not only in benign areas, but also in difficult areas where weather conditions and infrastructure can prove challenging - such as Sakhalin, Africa and the Caspian Sea. More recently, the Company set up an office in Rio de Janeiro.
Since incorporation in 1975, the Company has gone from strength to strength, operating across the globe from New Zealand to the North Sea.
